Definition of CHAIN MAILLE
the art of making items, such as chains, jewelry, and armour, from jump rings
In this class, students will learn how to make 3 basic chain maille bracelets, using silver-filled and sterling silver jump rings (no soldering involved). These basic chain maille weaves, European 4-in-1, Byzantine, and Helm, will aid the student to be able to learn more complex weaves. As well as, learning these weaves, students will see a demonstration on how to make their own jump rings out of precious wire. All material needed for class is supplied by MGMS and included in class fee.
